Head to Head Against
The Planets gained 16 of a possible 36 points after beating
Coast United, Congo JMJ and Moyas at home. They beat Mahakama on the road but
were then held by Thola Glass and NBI Stima at home and KRA and Admiral on the
road. They dropped 9 points in road losses to Bandari,K Sharks and Kibera Celtic.
Gatundu United won over NBI Stima and Kibera at home and
Moyas on the road for 9 of their 12 points won against sides that both teams
have played. The Stars won 3 points in backyard ties to Coast United,Thola
Glass and Iron Strikers at home.
Gatundu dropped 24 points in road losses to Admiral,Sparkie Youth,Sharks
and Mahakama. They gifted Mathare Youth with their only road win then dropped 6
more at home to KRA and Congo JMJ.
The Planets have a home ground to protect. They have not
lost at home since 17 July last year. A double win would lift them second on
the log and only 11/2 games behind idle leaders Kariobangi Sharks,It is not far
flung that 6 points from the two matches would comfortably cushion their
quest for promotion next season.
Trivia Gatundu Stars have had a tough outing against teams that featured in the KFF league as they face up to the Planets, another of the former KFF leaguers. They have lost both of their previous matches to Mathare Youth and Kariobangi Sharks. The only win outside their former D2 league was over former FKL side, NBI Stima.
