Planets Play Coast United

The Ligi Ndogo Planets (#5) are at home to tactical Coast United (#8) from Mombasa in their seventh match this season. The two teams have never met before but played at the same level in parallel leagues.
The game will be played on Saturday 31st at the Marist College from 3.00pm in a redrawn fixture.
The Planets have been on a bumpy stretch, having drawn their last three matches sandwiched between a lose (to Bandari).Their, defense, though has conceded the least number of goals (2) after Mahakama (0).They are up against a side that has scored the most goals on the road (4).Coast United and Sparkie Youth are so far the only top ten teams to have lost a game at home.
The Planets will hope to continue their good run at home. They have not lost a match at home.So far, they have won two matches, drawn three and lost one.
Coast United will be playing their sixth match this season.Their first match was a 0-0 draw away at Bidco (P5:B2:D3 #6).

Benjamin Kipruto and Victor Dufe will start in place of injured defenders Alex Karmo (knee) and Salim Abdalla (groin) as the Planets look to rebound.Kipruto had a good display in his first two matches (against Kenya Revenue Authority and Nairobi Stima).Dufe came in as substitute during the Planet,Stima game and played a solid defensive role for 43 minutes.Sven Yidah and Harry Gentle deservedly got starting nods at midfield.Sven played sub against Stima last weekend;Harry Gentle returns to the starting lineup in a midfield oriented defensive setup.

COAST UNITED
Bandari surprised an eight man Coast United 2-1 away in a match that pitted the best teams from the coast.

Coast United have won and drawn twice and lost once.Their offense has scored eight goals (5th in the league) while their defense has conceded six.Their goals scored and conceded are evenly matched, four goals at home and four away. They have conceded three goals while playing at home.
They lost one game at home (against Bandari) and won away (at JMJ Congo),both coastal teams.
The Planets have won seven of their nine points at home while Coast United gained five of their eight points on the road.

The Planets posted favourable results in mid week exhibition games against the National Youth Talent Academy,a well groomed and coached outfit centred around the idea of pooling youth talent. They hope this will be the turnaround as they shift gears back to winning ways,a streak that saw them go on a fourteen match unbeaten run last season.
