Planets will shine brighter than Stima:Preview

The Ligi Ndogo Planets are at home to Nairobi Stima this weekend,Sunday 25, after three consecutive matches away.The two teams have never met in regular play,but have played in exhibition matches before.The Planets drew one and lost one.

The Planets dropped maximum points for the first time this season when they fell 1-0 to Bandari in Mombasa.This was the first loss since mid July last year when they were beaten by the same margin by Muhoroni Youth.The Planets lie seventh,one game behind leaders Bandari.
Nairobi Stima are tenth with five points from three matches.They have played two matches less,won one and drawn two with a +2 goal difference.They won 2-0 away at Mathare Youth before the 1-1 tie at home.

Nairobi Stima played in the FKL Nationwide last year and finished fourth with 48 points ,three points behind,Oserian,the team that won promotion .They won  eleven matches drew fifteen and lost four.In thirty games,they had +9 goals.Their biggest win was a 3-0 whitewash of eventual winners Oserian in October 16,last season,at home.They beat Strathmore 2-1 the next weekend in an away match.The two games were their last winning streak as they lost the next two games away to coast teams.
They lost 3-1 at Admiral early November last year in their worst away loss.

So far into this year,they have won three of their last ten games,drawn five and lost two.

All their four losses in last season’s league were away and came against teams that finished outside the top four.Eight of their draws were also away;in the fifteen matches they played at home,seven were wins and eight ties.They have scored ten more goals while playing at home (21:10) and conceded five more while playing away (9:14).They conceded fourteen goals away and scored eleven.They managed nineteen points away in four wins,seven draws and four losses.

NBI Stima have scored seven goals in their last three wins and conceded two.Their longest winning streak was between 6 August and 4 November when they won three matches in a row.It was halted in a 0-0 draw at home to K.R.A.
Their longest streak was a string of four draws in April which ended with a 1-0 win over A.P.

The Planets are coming off a tough 1-0 loss away to Bandari but have an impressive record scoring at home.

The Planets finished second last season (W20:D3:L4).They scored 56 goals and conceeded 17.They have conceded one goal,away,in five matches this season and scored four.

The Planets have lost once and drawn two of their last matches having won four in a row since 2011.
They have won twelve matches at home and eight away in all competitions.They have drawn twice,at home thrice away.Their last loss at home was on 24 August 2011 to eventual league winners,Muhoroni Youth,1-0.It lost by the same score away to Kariobangi Sharks on 11 May 2011.

The highest scoring win at home was on 28 May,A 4-0 win against Karungu.It won 5-0 away to Makarios on 13 March.

Benjamin Kipruto starts at central defense in place of injured Alex Karmo.He has featured once this season and played a solid role in the 0-0 draw at K.R.A.Also coming off injury is Cornelius Ekene who starts at midfield.
