Ligi Ndogo celebrate Mashujaa day as hosts to Nyahururu’s Yanga today in the return leg of the KFF Nationwide league. The first leg game ended 2-1 in favor of Ligi Ndogo.

The match will be played at the Nairobi City Stadium. It will also feature the return of one of Ligi Ndogo’s longest serving players, goalkeeper Gideon Mutunga.Mutunga, a Ligi loyalist, has been a fixture in the Ligi Ndogo administration and team roster for over five years. Last year he was sidelined after he fractured the fibula on his left leg. Fully fit, though having seen more action as a manager, he hopes to come in handy in today’s match.
A win would push Ligi to 48 points, less than a game and a half behind second placed Kariobangi Sharks. Also coming back is defensive midfielder Cornelius Ekene;Dieudonne Masiga and Abbey Kunrunmi are expected to be the centerpieces of today’s encounter.Abbey,on a striker-A list quest, has conjured an amazing nine goals in the last four matches in all competitions. Notable presence would be that of right full back,Stephen Wandere.Alongside Mikhail Mwaniki,William Otieno and Dieudonne Masiga, he is the latest acquisition out of the Ligi Ndogo academy program.
