The Ligi Ndogo Planets will
have two former KRA players in their squad when they face off at 1pm this
Saturday 5th at the City Stadium.
Phillip Ugochukwu and Edwin Wanjala played for the club in 2011 and
first leg of season 2012 respectively.
KRA are riding an early cushion and have a head start, winning all
their three matches against outside
seeds:Maweni United (12),Kiambakia Christian (13) and Murang’a United (10) in
the 13 team log.Ligi Ndogo are placed fifth and have played one match less,
tying Mahakama (6) 1-1 and beating Maweni United.
In other D1 Zone A matches, Bidco United (4) travel to Nairobi Stima (3)
in a much anticipated clash. Sparki Youth will play their first match of the
season when they invite Mahakama to the coastal town of Mombasa.
In Zone B Group 1, Nakuru All Stars travel to Nzoia in a seemingly easy
tie. Last season, the Stars beat Nzoia at home and away. All Stars, though,will
be eager to erase recent memories where they fell 1-0 at
GFC 105 (1).GFC have won their first two matches.Historically,it was not much
of a shock as 105 has traditionally y been a tough outing for the Stars. Last
season they beat them 3-2 at home.
Surprise team,Nakumatt (1) hope to extend their lead at the top of Zone
A Group 2 when they travel to Jericho All Stars (9); Finlay may see their lead
at the top taken over by Hotsprings FC (2) who will be at an easy tie in St
Joseph (12).Finlay have it tough at Agro Chemicals (3).
