The Planets invite 2009 KFF Super league Champs KSL Thola Glass on Sunday 8th April at the Marist College in Karen.Thola featured with the Planets in last season’s KFF Nationwide one and finished two steps behind them in the pool that consisted sixteen teams. They had 57 points from 18 wins and three draws.Thola Glass had shocked the Planets 1-0 away in the first round encounter in July. They avenged the loss three months later in a 4-1 freeway.
Thola Glass performed well at home in the 2011 season by winning fourteen matches at home and losing only once. They won six away matches, drew two and lost seven.Thola Glass beat all the top three teams (Muhoroni Youth,Ligi Ndogo Planets and Kariobangi Sharks) while playing at home.

They started this season in dismal form, though the league is still nascent. They have played five matches (note:This does not include the Thola,Moyas match.Moyas won 2-1) with three draws and two losses. Currently, they lie 19th on the 20 team league, nine points adrift of the Planets and 14 of the league leading Kariobangi Sharks.

Performance Planets and Thola Glass

Comparison:Planets v KSL Thola Glass , League Standing

The Planets are one of the teams favored to win this league but all has not been smooth sailing. They have had a topsey turvey season so far.In a dynamic and, this far, an unpredictable league, they have constantly had to experiment with different roster call ups and game-approach formations. And with different striker rotations in as many matches played, this may be testament to their depth,or at how tough the league is.
They started off well, beating Administration Police and Congo JMJ.They drew away at KRA and Admiral before going down to Bandari. After another tie at home, the Planets beat Coast United in their most recent match. They hope this form continues against Thola Glass this weekend who they are slated to beat.
