Everything is structured fine to run upto August 6th,the closing date of this season.Neptune won in two categories,Atoms and Lower Mids,last season and are poised for a good run judging by the turnout in week one.The Yorks plan to maintain James Gachago,last season's best player,as the centerpiece of another shot at the title.Coach George Salano will have no problem retaining his trophy;His regulars have trooped back.The games are expected to kickoff in week four as the league takes shape.Mamwa Marcel,Jon Okok and Kibera Kyros are already back for Neptunes.
Jupiter won in the Junior category and finished third and fouth among the Atom and Lower Mid categories.For a combined House score,this would render them second after Neptune.This has been largley due to the superb performance of Adenga Victor,Jan Ochieng,Kalama Andre and Kiplagat Kiplagat (yes,two times) who have all returned.The zeal was evident as they geared up for the season on week one.Okora Musembi and Tegani Inka are also back within a week.
Mars finished third in the combined team scores.Atom Mars were second in their category,Junior and Lower Mids were third to bolster their mid table standing.Ogutu Shadrack was outstanding for Mars Atoms,Kassait Cliffton and the much improved Clyde Adera are back in the Junior Mars.Muinde Munene wraps up what seems to be a promising season for the Greens.
Pluto completes the four having featured second in the Lower Mids and last in the Atoms and Junior categories.
Ian Buluma,Memba Ndung'u,Diang'a Simeon and Gatonye Thuge are en route to ensuring a strong finish this season.Thuge features in at the top of coach Naman Amboka's game rotation.He might however have to reorder for a stronger finish.Otieno Washington,Kuria Wainaina and Musebe Austin will also have to fill in and come out strong.Musyoki Jesse came out charging late last season and will be expected to cause ripples.
Teams will be completely organised by the third week.
